Oliver Hafke Ahmad & Jaak Lutsoja (Jazz, Tango, Electronica)
In this collaboartion of the Estonian accordeonist and the saxophonist from Berlin melt jazz, tango rock, pop and electronica.
Jaak Lutsoja is in Estonia a demanded virtuoso either as soloist or as ensemble player, theatre musician or teacher.
The saxophonist from Berlin and the accordeonist from Talinn met at a concert of
Oliver Hafke Ahmad at the Zig Zag Jazz Club in Berlin. Since then they are working on a program with compositions of their own but also songs
of jazz and world music stars like Dino Saluzzi or Astor Piazzolla. The project can be booked in various line-ups from duo to trio or quartet (with bass and/or percussion).

Getting together musicians from different cultural backgrounds is essential to this project. Oliver Hafke Ahmad
was always impressed by bands like Dizzy Gillespie´s United Nation Orchestra.
With his band The Jazz Nomads consisting of musicians from Berlin, France and Japan he is presenting his own compositions. Songs
between Modal Jazz, Funk, House, Soul, Drum & Bass, Dancehall & Reggae. Nothing
for purists, but has Jazz ever been pure?

In this project with arabian and jewish musicians Oliver features his mediterranean roots. The brothers Amr and Bilal Hammour stem from Damascus (Syriea) and are passionate jazz musicians
as well as knowledged with arabian Music and music from the Balkan (Serbia). Amr Hammour plays guitar, oud and sings, Bilal Hammour plays a
6-string bass. Jazz, funk, rock und elektronic sounds get an arabian flair.
